Atlantic Southeast Airlines Flight 529

I went looking for a covered bridge and found this beautiful memorial. The photos explain it all. The Burwell Community is located about 50 miles from Atlanta. This memorial is behind the Shiloh Methodist Church.

Hard to believe the 21st of this month will be 12 years ago this tragic accident happened. I did not know they had the memorial. I will have to go find it myself and look for that covered bridge you were looking for.

Today as we mourn those in the bridge collapse in Minneapolis and see this memorial in Burwell, I am reminded that we never know the day we will die. So let's remind ourselves to live to the fullest while we can.

Dot - I'd be happy to send you a link for theme day but I don't have one, and am not sure where to find it. I just knew about it from seeing all the breakfast photos.

Nice memorial photo.

Danny & I have been talking about taking lessons. Did you know planes go up in value every year unlike cars. We could get a nice plane for the cost of a truck & it would be an investment.

the quote at the bottom is perfect. We have a plaque on a local supermarket as a memorial to a plane that went down there during the war. I must a photo of it one day.

I started my flight attendant career at ASA just 3 months before this tragic accident. I can't describe the feeling of working daily on the same equipment that took 10 lives so suddenly. Robin (the flight attendant) travelled by car to Dallas to speak at our recurring training session and there wasn't a dry eye in the room. I can't imagine the hell she, as well as everyone else on that plane experienced that day. I'm happy to see that someone memorialized this tragedy.
