Euharlee Covered Bridge

The Euharlee Covered Bridge is one of the oldest remaining covered bridges in Georgia and is located in the northwestern part of the state near Cartersville. Euharlee is a Native American name that means "She Laughs As She Runs". The dog in yesterday's photo was swimming near this bridge.

That is such a pretty name (She laughs when she runs) and it's perfect for a river. That bridge is lovely, so picturesque.

I'm not a football fan either and I too would like one of those umbrellas except for the fact that everyone would take me for a fan and would want to talk football with me.

Wish I'd seen that bridge when we lived in Georgia.Don't believe I ever saw a covered bridge when we lived in Georgia.Do you ever go to Stone Mountain? We lived about 15 miles east of Stone Mountain.

A covered bridge....travelling through a tunnel on the motorbike is quite a strange sensation! The lights reflecting on the walls give an awesome effect!

Hi That a beautiful place ther I love that bridge,

I saw your question on someone elses blog about the "neocounter' do you know know HOW to get one?

Just click o the image of the "neocounter" (countycounter) and signin on their website, than choose the type of counter( and clour) you like most and copie the HTLM fom that counter and add it into your 'templates'of your blog.

You can double-click on my sidebar's country- counter (at bottom of my side bar on the right) and see what happens?, if not I'll be able to help you ,just let me know! OK :)

I have often seen these bridges on films but never give them much thought apart from how nice their look. You picture today prompted me to go and find out about them and why they are made so. Another lesson learned from a great picture by a great blogger. Cheers

I so love covered bridges and always find such a mystery to them. It's a shame that there aren't that many left anymore. I would love to sit and have a picnic near that bridge and just spend time admiring it and wonder at who passed through it for all these years:-) xox
