I thought something was wrong with this squirrel because he just sat there on that little branch for the longest time. Looks like he's freezing but it was very warm here today.
I watched one the other day and when he saw me he hissed and cried the rest of the time I watched....and his little tail was just twitching......I think he was yelling cause I was there and he was warning the others of danger LOL
To comment on what you said on my blog. Full time rver's stay put for quiet a long time, specially now that the gas prices are higher, but they enjoy the warmer climates so they call them snowbirds. I can't wait to join them.
Hi Dot I think he is suffering from vertigo from the way he is clinging to the branch. I have been out of it for a while after the op - sitting in front of a computer has not been very comfortable. Have spent some time this afternoon enjoying catching up on your posts. By the way I won't be trying Elvis's PB and banana sandwich - it sounds gross. Thanks for all your comments during my recovery All the best Max
Great shot! it probably is scared. . . and to remark about one of your comments. . . Elvis wasn't the first nor the last to love peanut butter an sliced banana sandwiches. I have eaten them for a long time and love hem.
Mama he does look like he is fixin to dive into a pool of water. Maybe he's practicing for the olympics!!!!!!! You said you didnt get a good picture. If u got a closer shot I would have thought you were checking him for flees!

He was probably staying very still in hopes you would not see him. He thought he was hid well from a little lady with a camera. Good shot!
It looks to me like he's contemplating a dive.
Maybe he's thinking, "Phew, she's getting my good side"!
His tail looks like its attached to his back... interesting :)

It looks like he's hanging onto the branch for his dear life. They are hilarious creatures and I can watch them for hours.
I don't want to make this too funny, but he might have gas.
I also posted a squirrel today. Mine is eating a peanut.
very lovely capture
Dot, hope you will let me steal him for my dog blog...my dogs would love to bark at him up this pine tree.

Maybe he is just sitting there thinking what mischief he could get into next. :-)
Nice, you had your camera there just in the right moment:)
He looks like someone is daring him to jump.
Poor little guy. Maybe he doesn't remember how to get down..hehee.

I see I'm not the only posting pics of squirrels - actually your dog has the best idea - here at present it is a white cat that is stalking them.
Beautiful shot!
WONDERFUL capture!!
I love the light in his tail. Their eyes are great, I've found. Fun to photograph.
