Old Tin Barn

This old tin barn looks like it might have been well used at one time. I traveled the red dirt road to get to this barn.

I like how the tree hangs over the roof. . . providing shade for the barn and creatures therein.

Love the barn, the tin ones seem to stand up longer, but i don't think they had those back in the old old days.

I can't imagine what it must have been like inside of these when the rail or rain and hail came peppering down.

Nice photography.

Tin barns? I thought traditional barns were made only of wood; silly me.
I agree with Paulie, the tree gives an interesting perspective to the whole set.

The weathered gray wood is great, the red roof is an added perk, but the eye is drawn to the BLUE barrel! Love this one!

I don't think I've ever seen a tin barn. Nice picture.
It doesn't look like it will be standing much longer.

Decaying barns like abandoned farmland always make me very sad. The were center of human life and vitality at one time.

What a great tree. I sort of wished you had taken a picture of it. Perhaps, when it is in leaf you can go back. Can you imagine what great shade it offered on hot summer days.

Good pic, Dot. I've only seen one other tin barn and that was many years ago in Coweta County, backroads of Grantville. I'm not sure if it's still there or not, I haven't been that way in a long while.

Lovely composition, Dot. I love the bare branch, the weeds in the foreground -and the bright colour (rust, perhaps) of the roof.

My kind of scene.

I've just posted my Sky Watch shot - would you mind putting me on your Mister Linky when it's convenient?

Many thanks .....

Ever since I "discovered" your blog I've been eyeing water towers, lol. Haven't photographed one yet, but I'm planning on it!

Now this makes me want to jump in my car and go looking for old barns to photograph. I love this picture! What an interesting old barn...and that tree is beautiful. Would like to see this photo again, when the tree has it's leaves.
