Bridal Wreath

I used to think this was Bridal Wreath but it doesn't look like the pictures I see on line. It's very common in the south so I'm sure someone will know what it is.

I found a picture of spirea that it fits...I googled spirea and then clicked images, and it was on the second page of images. My mom had it when I was a kid.

Very pretty. One of my neighbors has a beautiful huge shrub of Bridal Wreath. I've never planted one yet, I just enjoy theirs.

It's a pretty bloom what ever it's name is.

I think it is also spirea sometimes called bridal wreath spirea. You can take a cutting about the size of a pencil, take the leaves off and shove one end in the ground about as deep as you can push it and it should grow. Water it now and then until it gets started.

That's how I start all my flowers and bushes.

We call it "Brude spirea" around here. Much used in hedges. Since Brud means Bride it ought to be a bridal wreath.

Spirea! And they do call it Bridal Wreath too.

Oh I sooooooo love that! We used to have a big white bush. But it got over grown and had to go. We now have a little pink one, which my husband is nursing along. I'll take pics when it's in bloom.

Oh I love it!!!!!!!!!!!! I like it much more that Forsythia {the yellow early bush}. -happy sigh-

:O) Carl calls it "Whippin Sticks". It is what his mama use to use for giving them a whippin when they were bad because it grew long and was flexable like a whip. Ugg! Things you learn about people you don't know! thats bloggin for ya.

It`s blooming around June here in Norway.
I have it in my garden.

Nice flower and you know what it is now. The tractor/bird photo on my blog is Texel, almost each picture on my blog is, and you are very welcome!!!

It looks bigger than the bridal wreath I see but that may be because of the closeness. Take a photo of a wild azalea...a friend sent me a photo and the bloom color looks odd. I am wondering if he tried to correct the picture or maybe took it on a cell phone..
