Most people in the deep south love their greens and corn bread. This is what our mustard and turnip green patch looks like when they start going to seed. This patch has been swarming with bees, birds, wasps and butterflies. In the back ground you can see our old barn.
Only one would be still long enough for me to get a picture.

I love this field of yellow. I have never seen this before. Corn bread huh? Love corn bread, do you have any good recipes for it. I just use a box but sure have tasted some good corn bread.
That second photo with the bee on the flower is fantastic. Love this post
I guess spring has arrived! Beautiful photos!!!!!
I guess you decided not to do ABC Wednesday?
A shame not to participate in the revised ABCW. I hope it is only temporarily.
You know all the problems connected to Linky by yourselves
i like corn bread and onion.
Is this yellow plant Mustard Grass, I see whole fields of yellow much like this.. I am sure it is used for animal feed.. this is giving away my town-boy roots Dot.. or I would know what the plant is. ha!.
I am letting Jane post her picture for a few days... we went out the other day and she was trying out the new camera.. she as only used it once or twice... a natural she is and put me to shame... ha!... She took some shots for Sky Watch as well... in fact I set one as my background on the PC.. if she carries on I might just have to ban her.. :O)
Very nice macro and a powerful and charming landscape photo.
All those colours and such brightness just make photos perfect!
Great stuff here...both the field of flowers and the bee.

Dot,
Is this mustard the same as wild mustard that grows here? f so, I didn't know you could eat it! Do you boil it like spinach?
The field of yellow is beautiful.
Great shot of the bee!!
Oh I do miss greens! Occasionally I get collards and a hamhock and do up a batch , not the same though. lovely photos.
Stunning piX! That second shot produced eXtreme maro lens envy... (sigh)
Very good the colours, most excellent macro, these special photographs give more a lot of information, from general that has open the plan!

Hello dear Dot:-)
I'm finally back to regular blogging and trying to get caught up on everyone's news now! I so enjoyed looking at all your latest pictures...my gosh, how beautiful they all are!! Love the field of yellow...wish I could see that for myself right now instead of still being buried under lots of snow!! xox
Great!!!
That bee looks like my one on "Natural Shot Photos" blog (laugh).

PS.- I've noticed the flower against the umbrellas too.
I believe that photo is an environmental paradox!!
Stunning and lush, Dot! I love it. I feel all warmed up just admiring your work on this chilly night.
I'm surprised you found even the one to bee still for you!
Outstanding images!
Gorgeous photos, Dot!! I love corn bread!
Pretty, but you can keep the greens. I'll take some cornbread, though. :) (Never been a fan of most green vegetables - being a hardcore Suthron I prefer my food brown or fried or both, hahaha.)
LOVE my greens and cornbread!! :)
Hi Dot
I can see spring has arrived, Beautiful photos, the one with the bee is really great.
Our spring is gone, for the weekend 2-7C some snow and much rain. I'm depressed.

Bee still, my beating heart!
