One day my sister brought me a dead yellow butterfly she had found in the yard and told me to take a picture of it. "But it's dead I said"! "Just prop it up" she replied. So that is what I did! This is a dead yellow butterfly in a pear tree.

I think I'd rather like to be propped up in a blossoming pear tree if I was a dead yellow butterfly... it would make me feel very important!
But of course I wouldn't feel anything if I really was dead!
I've done that myself...prop one up. I've never seen one that looks like this though!

Oh my goodness Dot, what a neat setting,That butterfly is beautiful, dead or not, it fits in so nicely with the blossom. You are so lucky to have butterflies already.And we don't have that kind here. At least i have never seen one

Sky Watch went MAD this week Dot.. what a great idea you had when you came up with it.. I got around all the blogs very well this week, and still had time to clean the bathroom, hover and polish the front room, did some shopping and then had the evening meal in the cooker for when I picked Jane up. How I managed it I don't know as some days I can struggle with my normal blogging and not doing as much house work... Ithink it helps if your mind is clear and you are not tired.

I did that once because the moth was so colorful. And as I shot the photos, it came alive! That was a happy moment.

I believe what to us you say because observing well I see that the one antenna is broken and proboscis her is absent! If to us it did not say her history, would believe also I as all that she is live. It should I admit that it has marvellous colour of lemon!

It looks alive. I took the word verification off as everyone hated typing the words...I mess up on them and have to try about 3 times before I get it right...so one way it inconveniences me and the other it inconveniences the viewer. So, I guess I should be the one who has to be inconvenienced.

Hmmm. I think I'm supposed to admire the butterfly but it's the pear blossoms that I'm admiring. I think I can smell them all they way up here in Canada. I really like the perfume of pear blossoms...reminds me of my childhood.
Now if only you could find a dead partridge you'd be all set for your next Christmas card photo? :)
