It's a Set-Up!

One day my sister brought me a dead yellow butterfly she had found in the yard and told me to take a picture of it. "But it's dead I said"! "Just prop it up" she replied. So that is what I did! This is a dead yellow butterfly in a pear tree.

Now you are shooting counterfiet photos. What's next Dot? LOL

The butterfly does look alive. You propped it up well.

Great picture.
I think I'd rather like to be propped up in a blossoming pear tree if I was a dead yellow butterfly... it would make me feel very important!
But of course I wouldn't feel anything if I really was dead!

I've done that myself...prop one up. I've never seen one that looks like this though!

I would have never guessed it was dead, good idea!
I saw your question about the ribbon, I found it at Walmart, back in the craft section. I hope you find some!

You did a fantastic job with propping and the photo! I probably would have spread the wings on a rose or something. . . never mind that roses aren't blooming now. lol

Oh my goodness Dot, what a neat setting,That butterfly is beautiful, dead or not, it fits in so nicely with the blossom. You are so lucky to have butterflies already. And we don't have that kind here. At least i have never seen one

Oh my. I wonder if it got too cold or there was nothing to eat at the time and it starved. Such a shame.

I managed to post about my hospitalization adventures. Hope you get to read it.

Hi Dot,
If that's you in the red spot on the map, it appears you are almost in Alabamy. Nice photos. Thanks for dropping by and explaining the Friday Sky Watch. I'm originally from south Mississippi. Come by anytime. Just had a big pot of mixed greens last week.

Dot.. you are the most honest person I know... LOL..
It is a great picture and would have made me happy, but now I know it is dead I feel sad... sometimes a 'Little White Lie' can help.. ;o)

Sky Watch went MAD this week Dot.. what a great idea you had when you came up with it.. I got around all the blogs very well this week, and still had time to clean the bathroom, hover and polish the front room, did some shopping and then had the evening meal in the cooker for when I picked Jane up. How I managed it I don't know as some days I can struggle with my normal blogging and not doing as much house work... Ithink it helps if your mind is clear and you are not tired.
All the best catch you tomorrow.

Hi Dot,
It's me again. I just read Wom Tigley's comment giving you credit for starting Sky Watch Friday. I gave him credit in my blog today, but just wanted you to know I'm straight on it now.

That's so funny!
I did that once because the moth was so colorful. And as I shot the photos, it came alive! That was a happy moment.

You have flowers and bugs already! Lucky lucky you!!

In mine current post that in him I dedicate, exists a live butterfly that sate being my finger!

It looks alive. I took the word verification off as everyone hated typing the words...I mess up on them and have to try about 3 times before I get it right...so one way it inconveniences me and the other it inconveniences the viewer. So, I guess I should be the one who has to be inconvenienced.

Hmmm. I think I'm supposed to admire the butterfly but it's the pear blossoms that I'm admiring. I think I can smell them all they way up here in Canada. I really like the perfume of pear blossoms...reminds me of my childhood.
