Yum Plums!

It's so nice when you can finally enjoy the fruits of your labor. This is the first time our little plum tree has had fruit. We got approximately three pounds of sweet juicy plums. They are all gone now and guess who ate most of them?

If I had been there, would you have shared? Those look so yummy. When I worked at the orchard, I used to pick the plums in the fall. I never started liking them till the last 3 or 4 years I was there. I feel like I wasted so much time.

That it's yours makes it all the more sweet. Lucky you!

I love those plums too Dot. But fresh ones off your own tree are so much more flavorful than those picked before they're ready and ripened in the store.

There's nothing quite like harvesting the fruits of your labor. The plums look beautiful.
LA is Lower Alabama? ha Good one. Well, I'm glad you got to go there instead of crazy Los Angeles.

Venice was a trip taken 5 yrs ago this coming October ... my oldest/best friend's son got married there so we all got together and turned it into a little vacation ... its a photographers dream to wander Venice camera in hand .. it is a most photogenic city .. but then Italy is a beautiful country from Venice on down to the tip of the 'boot'

Plums look so good. Maybe Annie
put her blog on ice and will rise
again for it says you can not take that title. Makes me think she will return.

Good thing I wasn't there -- you might not have gotten a one!

I saw the first picture and thought, did she grow these herself! The next picture answered my question. My husband planted a plum tree last year-nothing yet-he was so disappointed. I think maybe it's in a spot that doesn't get enough sun. Great job!

We didn't get but a few plums this season. Tastey but darn they are gone. Not a lot of bees doing the pollinating this year.

I love plums. As a child I used to pick wild plums in my grandfather's hedgerows in GA. That was the life! xoxo

Dot,

My plum tree has fruit on it for the first time this year, the plums are so good. Yours looks good too. The birds are helping me eat them...:) I have to pick fast, what I don't eat, I give away.
