Sky Watch Friday

I took these pictures of the setting sun a few weeks ago. If you'd like to see more sky pictures visit the new Sky Watch Blog hosted by Tom, Sandy and Imac.

These are beautiful, Dot. The collage makes it easy to compare the differences in each shot.

Dot, that is a beautiful series of pictures! What a lovely SWF you have this week!

These fascinated me...to see the sun move sideways instead of down. That first shot is my favorite.

Oh Dot those are great shots i was trying to get mine to turn out that way as it was a hot red at least you were able to get it, i love the one that looks like the sun is cut in half. I guess i have to really do some talking to hubby for a much better camera. HMMMM that is going to be a lot of talking as i just got this one, oh well maybe 2 yrs from now. LOL

It seems that you stated a thing that is taking completely off! Soon I only recognize a handful of participants.

I enjoyed your sunset - at first I thought it was the full moon!

Dot

The photo of/from that fire was a lot of fun to get ... the Riverside Tower Hotel is next door to our brownstone and there was a fire in one of the unoccupied guest rooms .. which we could see from our roof .. so I had to take pix .. there was another fire a few months later up the street from us and I got some pix of the too ... now shadows are something I am going to have to work on finding .. none of those in my over 3000 photos ...

Incredible ball of fire. Looks like a lot of humidity, but that can make a beautiful sunset.

Oh how beautiful. I missed posting this last week. My hubby is down with a kidney stone, so not much time to get on line for me. Hopefully he will pass it soon and I can get back to looking at the sky.
