National Dog Day

Jan suggested that anyone interested might want to post a picture of their dog today in honor of National Dog Day. This is my tree climbing dog Gypsy who wants so badly to catch a squirrel. Some of you may have seen these photos before but everyone seems to enjoy them.

So cool! Too bad I didn't know about National Dog Day earlier. I would have posted about my dogs, too. One of them used to climb trees as well, until we moved to the city. Her tree climbing skills diminished greatly.

Gypsy looks awesome!

Happy National Dog Day!

Those are good Dot. It has been a long time since I hunted squirrel with a dog, but I remember some of those little muts who tried to climb up and get them. Pappy

Oh I am remiss! I did not realize this was National Dog Day. Tonka will be so upset that I didn't post the recent photo of him in "his" truck.

Bad Daddy!

Is he biting the tree? Oh, I see it better now. It's not the whole tree, just the bark, bark.

We have no national dog day in France, but I think it's a great idea to have a day for our beloved friends;
I don't remember having seen a dog climbing a tree...

I came here from Fishing Guy's blog - (Well, he said it is a "must see" and he's right!) Your work is lovely, and Gypsy is great.

Haha.. that is such great pics. Funny and amazing! :) Good job!
It is true that it would've been hard to redo all houses for the olympics. But for the people living there it brought quite a lot of bitterness seeing the houses 2 blocks away gettin done up while their own were real ramshackles.. Guess life is never fair tho..

He is so cute. We had a dog, PeeWee, when our boys were growing up that could climb a ladder.
(I have a picture somewhere..)
Nice picture, it makes me smile.

Your dog certainly looks determined. I had a black labrador many years ago that would climb trees, with some encouragement from me. If I climbed the tree she would be up like a shot just to be with me.
