Yellow Sulfur Butterfly

September is the month for the yellow sulfur. They are flitting all over the place.

Is this the "giant" one? I have the smaller ones but now and then still see or did last week, the "giant" sulfur and it is at least twice as large. They are beautiful creatures but am almost out of things for them to feed on here as the season as kept progressing on.

Dot,

That's a great picture. It looks so pretty on the Turk's Cap bloom!

They're around here too, but I haven't been able to catch one with the camera yet. You got a good one.

I have never seen that kind of butterfly before! Very pretty and unusual markings!

that is a stunning photo. We were just in South Carolina and the yellow butterflies were impossible to photograph as they wouldn't stay still.

You know they are so simple compared to some but yet they are really beautiful.

Very nice closeup of this butterfly. Yellow sulfurs never stay anywhere long enough for me to focus in on them let alone snap a picture. ;-)

Dot: A wonderful capture, you did well on this one.

Nice capture - butterflies are hard for me.

So that's their official name, then... I just always knew them as little yellow butterflies. :) They are everywhere, though.

This is a very pretty picture! I've been seeing these Yellow Sulfur Butterflies, too, but not in such an elegant setting. Usually I see them down on the gravel. Wonderful photo!

Wow, nice color. Thanks for your comment(s) and you are right there is not an English page of the Ada Hofman garden and yes it is a reflection.
