Camera Critters

I caught this green monster today. Aren't those eyes wicked looking? According to Google there are katydids and false katydids. I'm not saying which I think this is because someone will surely come along and prove me wrong. Oh and the sounds are not katydid sounds but the closest I could get. This is my first time to participate in Camera Critters. If you'd like to join in visit Misty Dawn.

Dot,
I have always wandered what they looked like,as i have never heard them till we went back E and hubby told me what that noise was. You did a good job capturing this critter.

Yellow alien eyes is what I think.

Those eyes are scarey. Good looking insect though. I don't know false ones from the other ones, but we have those up here too, long gone by now. It's too cold.

Well Dot, they are all bugs. You have captured this one for all the world to see. I'm sure you will get more information from the bug lovers out there. Pappy

Dot: You really brought on a great offering for you first, I wonder if Katy did find the first one? Just something to ponder.

Welcome to the meme! That's a great catch, but I do not like bugs. They make me run the other direction.

Great shot Dot. I think that a katydid because it has long antennas. When I was a kid we lived near the woods and I got so tired of hearing them at night but now I love to hear them.
