Ruby Tuesday/ The Smallest House in Savannah

This little house may or may not be considered red but considering the car is a little red too maybe Mary will not ban me from Ruby Tuesday. The picture was taken from our tour bus window traveling through Savannah. The tour guide said this is the smallest house in Savannah, Ga and it's on the market for a quarter of a million. Cute but not THAT cute!
Join Mary the teach for more Ruby Tuesday participants.

what a house...and I think it is tryly red, along with the car. What interesting architecture in that neighborhood!

I can just see Mary with her baton saying NO! that's too muddy a red to be included in Ruby Tuesday. Just kidding.

Anyway, it's a lovely house. Reminds me a bit of old houses from Concord, MA. Would be fine with or without the red car.

Ha--the house is probably worth $50,000 at most --and the property is worth the REST. Some idiot may buy it just to say they live on one of the squares in Savannah... Not ME!!!!

As much as I like touring in Savannah, I wouldn't want to live there--even in one of their beautiful homes.

You did great with your "Ruby" Tuesday post. The house is a tone of RED and that car is definitely RED... You did good!!!!

Hugs,
Betsy

so cute and tiny :)

Cute house, but there are bars on the window. Price must be for the land, only.

It looks red to me. Interesting photo!

A little red house indeed.

Anyone staying in the house?

Shoshana said...

Wow! How did they know it's the smallest? I like the picket fence.

OT: Yes, it was one of our best day at the park.

I don't know about the prices in Savannah. last time I read about the town it was burning in "Gone by the Wind". (I read that novel five times a a matter of the fact.)
The house sure is red and well fenced, but ..I mean I've heard the prices on real estate are going down in the US?
Have a happy Southern Ruby Tuesday.

That's a really small place!!
I wonder how the people move about in there :P
No worries, it sure qualifies for Ruby Tuesday..hahaaa

Thanks for visiting me on Ruby Tuesday. I've always wanted a little house to use as a work shop/get-a-way, but guess this one is a little too salty! Really cute though.

Have a great week.

Very nice photo for a Ruby Tuesday.
Great contrast in color and size with the surrounding buildings.

I love the shot! It is a cute little red house for sure. I'm calling my sister-in-law who lives in Savannah and telling her to rush right over there and get it for me. :) A quarter of a million -I'm overwhelmed at that.

PERBS said...

I think both the little house and car are shades of red. Perfect for your meme! You would be surprised how much one can get in a tiny house. I wonder if it has a basement?

eastcoastlife said...

It's a cute little red house but the price is a little expensive. :P

DrowseyMonkey-Photos said...

You're right it is cute...but 1/4 of a mil? Wowser!

Malyss said...

Cute, red, lovely, and all what you want, but definitely too expensive!
Here we see on tv that a lot of people are loosing their houses in USA, because of the crisis; So this price is really surprising..

EG CameraGirl said...

Kind of expensive, that's for sure. It must be the neighbourhood that makes it that pricey.

Patti said...

Looks like a neat house, but not $250K worth! It surely looks red to me.

Like my husband (Ralph) said, there's some cool architecture in that neighborhood.

Happy Ruby Tuesday!

KitchenMaus said...

How can something so small cost that much? wow, cute yeah!

Judy said...

Wow, that is cute but you're right...not that cute.

Judy said...

Forgot to add I love the picture tho.

bj said...

It's a cute little house but am pretty sure it is priced because of location location location!
Thanks for sharing this cute photo...

Love the little house, and it certainly looks red enough to me! Just about the perfect size for me I think.

Kahshe Cottager said...

At that price, Savannah must be a very expensive place to purchase a home! It is cute though and while it is not ruby red, it looks red to me!

Melli said...

Now I DID see THAT house when I was in Savannah! It is a cute one - but your right! Not for THAT price! Although, sOMeone will buy it!

prkl said...

Really nice lil house. Workers are changing pavement to gold, that put the price about right. Still bit too small, even for single. Very nice add to RT. You have a pleasant rest of the week!

What a great photo...and filled with nice contrasts in color.

Interesting fact about the house.

Sheila said...

Cute house, but I don't think I would go into the 'red' to purchase it!

Gattina said...

It's a quite funny picture and I think the house is red !

AVCr8teur said...

$250K for that little thing? It's more expensive than housing in the San Francisco area. However, if you go inside, it might open to a mansion. :P

Unknown said...

I've heard about this house :D
It's cute, but hey, I get than size here in Hungary for much less :D

And I think I stretched the colour part more than you did for this week ;)

Jientje said...

A cute little red doll house!

Cindy said...

It's cute. I'd like to see the inside.

That WEEE house is $250,000? OMGosh! That's ridiculous! Cute, like you said, but NOT that cute!!!

soulbrush said...

very cute, but 1/4 million? really?

Raven said...

A quarter of a million?! Yikes. It is cute, but I agree, not that cute. Doesn't look like there's much yard, either.

I have fallen in love with that little RED house, yeah I think it's red and as cute as a button. Happy Easter and Ruby Tuesday!
PS I had a look at some of your other photos, very nice work!! :)

MyMaracas said...

Looks red to me, and I love it. It's adorable, but the price tag is a bit much. I love the way you've photographed it, nestled between its bigger neighbors.

I wonder if this little charmer might have been a servant's house or a little red school house. Cute!

Sister--Helen said...

here is another view of it
http://family.webshots.com/photo/1432288462042185223gRhHom
it said it was 800 sq feet.
There is almost no yard a new house would have to go straight up to be built on that lot...

ces said...

rust and reds, i love them...that is such a cute house! quarter of a mil huh? hmmm...

This was a cute house. I would like to have looked in it!

Good day, sun shines!
There have been times of troubles when I felt unhappy missing knowledge about opportunities of getting high yields on investments. I was a dump and downright stupid person.
I have never imagined that there weren't any need in big starting capital.
Nowadays, I'm happy and lucky , I begin to get real income.
It gets down to choose a correct partner who utilizes your funds in a right way - that is incorporate it in real deals, parts and divides the income with me.

You can ask, if there are such firms? I'm obliged to tell the truth, YES, there are. Please be informed of one of them:

I was recently in Savannah on a tour and the tour guide said the house had been sold recently for $185,000. Some one must have wanted really bad to pay that much for a one room house.
