Headed for the Beach

We saw a lot of these little fiddler crabs about the size of a quarter. They would all march in one direction until something or someone got in their way and then they would all turn and march in the other direction. It was fun to watch them.

The salt water marshes
We had to walk over the sand dunes and were told not to wander off the paths
At last! We see the beach ahead!

Beautiful photos.

But oh no. ,-) Those poor little crabs can be that easily distracted from their route? At first I thought they were being drawn right to the ocean.

I have seen little crabs but not that many at the same time.
The salt water marsh is beautiful.
And the sand dunes made a pretty picture too. I know you and Tina had a wonderful time exploring the Island.

Fantastic shots Dot! I've seen those crabs on the TV. The sand shot is really dramatic. It looks like a beautiful place to take a long stroll.

Love the crab picture Dot, not something I see that often.
The Marsh grass is beautif.. I would love to stand and watch the breeze blowing it about. This pathway to the beach looks a fantastic place for my old Land rover.... though I det vehicals would not be allowed.

Re: Your comment in a blog of mine... I agree, it would be nice if we could correct a typo in a comment. But the only way, is to delete and send another. :-) No problem.

The only important thing is for me to say thank you for stopping by, and for commenting.

That's a great series. It made me want to dig my toes in the sand while sitting and watching the crabs walk sideways and the grasses blow.

What a great series of photos you took on your way to the beach.

Oh, before I forget, I used to read some in the evenings, but now I'm computer-addicted also. My reading goes on a lunch at work, though.
