Such a gorgeous colour! All our birds have been huddling in the evergreens, trying to keep warm...we're expecting another few inches of snow tomorrow so their feathers will get ruffled some more! lol xox
Great photo of a very colourful bird. Hope he got a good feed of those sunflower seeds. he needs lots of energy to keep warm in this cold windy weather.
It was cold - on Sunday too. The wind almost knocked me down. Looks like the bird will be glad for spring - especially the squirrel in the photo below. Happy Valentine's Day! (everybody!)
Amazing that you don't have the icy rains coating the birds like we did for two days. It was something else. The cardinals, both male and females, had their cock feathers on their head all matted or bounching with little balls of ice at the ends.
What a neat shot you got there, he is just beautiful and such a perfect choice for this Valentine Day, Happy Valentine to you and all your blogging friends

I'm a lurker of your blog and I just have to say this picture is great, but I am a lover of cardinals as that is my state bird.

He is so pretty, and his color is stunning! It is soooo cold here, too...I'm ready for Spring! :)
It is cold isnt it...Brrrr. Crazy weather we are having, but the grass is still turning green.

Is that a cardinal, Dot?
By the way, it's 6am Friday here in Oz - and my Sky Watch picture is posted ....
Did you notice the brand, logo, on the domino tin is a red bird, I think it says 'cardinal' .. !?
Neat shot!
He may have had his feathers ruffled because of that other little birdie too!
Despite the red, the blue colour makes the cold comes through! Great shot. Don't think I've ever seen a cardinal.
Marvellous photograph, even with the back turned, is gentleman. Amazing colours!
Lovely colours. And an amazing bird. First time I've been here and I must say: you have a huge (of beautiful) blog.
I just love cardinals. Well, all birds, actually.
The little birdy looks like he's getting his warmth by staying close to the cardinal.
