Such a gorgeous colour! All our birds have been huddling in the evergreens, trying to keep warm...we're expecting another few inches of snow tomorrow so their feathers will get ruffled some more! lol xox

Great photo of a very colourful bird. Hope he got a good feed of those sunflower seeds. he needs lots of energy to keep warm in this cold windy weather.

Lovely feathers, we don`t have this colorful bird in my country.

It was cold - on Sunday too. The wind almost knocked me down. Looks like the bird will be glad for spring - especially the squirrel in the photo below. Happy Valentine's Day! (everybody!)

wonderful composition, excellent colors

Amazing that you don't have the icy rains coating the birds like we did for two days. It was something else. The cardinals, both male and females, had their cock feathers on their head all matted or bounching with little balls of ice at the ends.

Happy Valentine's Day.

It looks cold and windy. I like the droplets from the bottom of the bird feeder, now thats cold!

That is adorable. And I see your ice too. We had snow flurries a good bit of the day yesterday. And it was sooooo cold and windy.

Happy Valentine's Day.

Did you notice the brand, logo, on the domino tin is a red bird, I think it says 'cardinal' .. !?

Neat shot!
He may have had his feathers ruffled because of that other little birdie too!

Despite the red, the blue colour makes the cold comes through! Great shot. Don't think I've ever seen a cardinal.

Lovely colours. And an amazing bird. First time I've been here and I must say: you have a huge (of beautiful) blog.

I just love cardinals. Well, all birds, actually.

The little birdy looks like he's getting his warmth by staying close to the cardinal.
