Wow, interesting looking bridge. I see it as a ladder too. The only ladder name that comes to my mind is Jacob's ladder. Is this ladder in southern Alabama where you went to visit your mother or local around us Dot?
It looks like those monkey bars one would like as a kid. Regarding your comment on my blog about kayaking. I tried it once and it was quite a strenuous activity.
I look forward to finding what the name is and where it is Dot.... I know a joke about a broken bridge Dot... I'd tell you but you'd never get over it... ha!
Dot, My mother made a wall hanging of this poem. So this is what living on an island is like. "If you ever lived on an island If you ever lived by the sea You'll never return to the mainland Once your spirit has been set free"
You got some great shots I like bridges, but they also scare me, I had gotten some of the 5-6 level mix master highway bridges that really scare me here to post today before I caught the fighter jet picture I posted today

A teaser... oooooh... we wait with bated breath. :)
From this perspective they could call it a ladder bridge, right?

Now that is an interesting bridge, can't wait to hear what they call it.
If it were the other direction, I would call it the Eiffel Tower BUT since it isn't, it looks like film clips -- kinda a slide show. . .
Thought of another idea -- maybe "roller coaster"
Hmmmmmmmmm! Hubby would have an interesting view on this....sadly too technical for me to follow.

Dot, Is someone standing on top of the bridge? It looks like a gated walkway....

By the way, I can assure you that know people do wash their feet before stomping the wine ...
Ohhh, a cliff hanger. Or would that be a bridge hanger?
That is an interesting photograph!
Good one!
I've been given the Excellent Blog award and I'm very happy and honored to pass it on to you!
Doesn't Mobile have the most interesting bridges? And you've been clever enough to give us a mystery, dot! These are great.
I've never seen a bridge quite like that. Very cool.

A ladder to heaven.-Cheers.
Beautiful sky watch! These photos could have been used in "Bridges between"! Look for it at RuneE in Norway!
