I used to live in Virginia, so I've seen some kudzu in my time.
I love both of these, even though they make miss the rolling hills of the south. The midwest tends to be a bit flat.
I volunteer to be in either picture! And I don't like my picture taken!
For those that don't know ~Kudzu grows very fast. Almost before your very eyes! Cool Pictures!

Beautiful view - I've seen plenty of that Kudzu- it just takes over.
With those mountains and beautiful, lush greenery, I half-expected to spot gorillas. Kudzu?? Gesundheit!

This two pictures make me think of some exotic forests, jungle, or such lanscape!
I would never imagine northern America that way...And the name of "kudzu" seems so exotic too!
Once again, very familiar, if I am correct this is the overlook on Burnt Mtn Road, Sharp Top Mtn, and on a clear day you can see the buildings of Atlanta in the distance. Just about 4 miles from my house! It looks like you had a nice drive through the mountains.
Nice scenery! We have more Virginia Creeper than Kudzu in our neck of the woods, but I'm sure it'll make its way here. I hate it on the one hand, but have fun seeing topiary figures in it as I drive down the road.

Most people would think or imagine, by now, as long as Kudzu has been smothering the south, that someone would come up with something to get rid of it. I know they have tried many things but it sometimes covered whole areas and makes the acres unusable. Amazing that there is no cure for this cancer.

What beautiful land! Not only have I never seen kudzu, I have no idea what it may be (I know it's a plant now, but edible? vegetable? flowering? - I am clueless! lol)

Oh my! I've HEARD about Kudzu and how aggressive it is but I've never seen it.
The hills are gorgeous in the mist. Rolling countryside is beautiful.
Easy answer, that's Pueraria lobata.
I'm joking it's the first time I saw them.
Beautiful captures, Dot! We have the dreaded Kudzu also. There is a small area in town where it has covered the trees and they look like monster topiaries.
I was thinking thats what that was ... a friend who worked on a film in GA a # of yrs ago brought some back .. he mistakenly thought it would make a nice showing against this fence ... oh boy did he ever learn .. its everywhere now ...

Awesome shots. Kudzu amazes me. Everytime we go to N.C. I have to take pictures of it.
So that is Kudzu - looks a heck of a lot like Japanese Knotweed which grows everywhere and can't be beaten.

kudzu is awaful, we have a place in carroll co. where it grows and it looks like a green ghost area..

I was back in GA a couple of weeks ago and saw a lot of kudzu. We used to call it "foot a day" because that's how fast it grew.
What a beautiful vista! We don't have kudzu here, but do I recall correctly that it is very fast growing and invasive?
Gosh the line is so so straight is it a pathway?
In your last photo, are those power lines or a wires for a tram. It definitely looks scenic enough for a tram to exist.

Kudzu. I found that funny since I am from Georgia and see it EVERYWHERE! It looks like the mountain has a split in it. I was drawn to that not the kudzu.
