A hazy Georgia sky viewed from a scenic overlook in North Georgia. If you've never seen Kudzu before that's it growing in the front of the pictures. Join the Sky Watch Team for more sky pictures.

I used to live in Virginia, so I've seen some kudzu in my time.
I love both of these, even though they make miss the rolling hills of the south. The midwest tends to be a bit flat.
I wouldn't think Georgia would be the best holiday destination currently!
also with regard to the picture this site...no comments obviously is there anyway to know if anybody looks at the blog..as noone makes any comments either..
This two pictures make me think of some exotic forests, jungle, or such lanscape! I would never imagine northern America that way...And the name of "kudzu" seems so exotic too!
Once again, very familiar, if I am correct this is the overlook on Burnt Mtn Road, Sharp Top Mtn, and on a clear day you can see the buildings of Atlanta in the distance. Just about 4 miles from my house! It looks like you had a nice drive through the mountains.
Nice scenery! We have more Virginia Creeper than Kudzu in our neck of the woods, but I'm sure it'll make its way here. I hate it on the one hand, but have fun seeing topiary figures in it as I drive down the road.
Most people would think or imagine, by now, as long as Kudzu has been smothering the south, that someone would come up with something to get rid of it. I know they have tried many things but it sometimes covered whole areas and makes the acres unusable. Amazing that there is no cure for this cancer.
What beautiful land! Not only have I never seen kudzu, I have no idea what it may be (I know it's a plant now, but edible? vegetable? flowering? - I am clueless! lol)
Beautiful captures, Dot! We have the dreaded Kudzu also. There is a small area in town where it has covered the trees and they look like monster topiaries.
I was thinking thats what that was ... a friend who worked on a film in GA a # of yrs ago brought some back .. he mistakenly thought it would make a nice showing against this fence ... oh boy did he ever learn .. its everywhere now ...
So that is Kudzu - looks a heck of a lot like Japanese Knotweed which grows everywhere and can't be beaten. Nice pictures. Meri has just told me they are quite different.
Kudzu. I found that funny since I am from Georgia and see it EVERYWHERE! It looks like the mountain has a split in it. I was drawn to that not the kudzu.

I volunteer to be in either picture! And I don't like my picture taken!
For those that don't know ~Kudzu grows very fast. Almost before your very eyes! Cool Pictures!
Dot, these are great photos and I'm very familiar with that dreaded plant in the foreground.. :)
Beautiful view - I've seen plenty of that Kudzu- it just takes over.
With those mountains and beautiful, lush greenery, I half-expected to spot gorillas. Kudzu?? Gesundheit!
Oh wow i never thought Georgia looked like that. And could you email me and tell me what kudzu is? never heard or seen it before.
What a view!
I was going to ask if that was Kudzu...evil stuff.
First time I heard of Kudzu. . . nice mountains in background. I will have a scheduled sky photo up after midnight.
Beautiful landscape.
The first picture is great!
I like the depths in it.
Very good! :)

I like your sky watch picture, Dot.

My sky watch photo is at Canon Pixels
That looks very inviting. I kind of makes me homesick for TN.
Hi Dot!

wisching you a good weekend
Nice shot of the kudzo. It can be found very easily here in Gerogia.
Dot: A beautiful view of the Appalachian Mountains.
What beautiful land! Not only have I never seen kudzu, I have no idea what it may be (I know it's a plant now, but edible? vegetable? flowering? - I am clueless! lol)
Thank you for the lovely comments at my place.
Beautiful shots of the smoky mountains... with their blue haze. Kudzu... I had forgotten how wild it grows there. We don't really have any here.
Beautiful! What's the cut in the 2nd picture? A hiking trail?
Cheers, Klaus
What a gorgeous view, Dot! Great photos!
I guess I have not seen one kudzu before. Does it has another name?
I love mountain tops! Beautiful view!
Oh my! I've HEARD about Kudzu and how aggressive it is but I've never seen it.
The hills are gorgeous in the mist. Rolling countryside is beautiful.
Easy answer, that's Pueraria lobata.
I'm joking it's the first time I saw them.

Great photos, Dot. Is that a road thru the center of the bottom photo? It piqued my curiousity. We don't have kudzu in California, thank God.
Beautiful shot and landscape.
I´ll search kudzu!
Nice vistas Dot. The Kudzu sure makes me homesick. Pappy
Breathtaking shot!
Paz
nice views from uop there. The kudzu reminds me of home (Huntsville AL) I not live in Colorado and we do not have Kudzu or anything like it.
Beautiful landscapes, beautiful photographs, a lot of nuances of green and light blue.
Great!
I wish one good weekend for you!!
Beautiful Dot, misty evergreen forest, comes to mind.
Looks like the lush South American rain forest. You've opened my eyes to Georgia!
Awesome shots. Kudzu amazes me. Everytime we go to N.C. I have to take pictures of it.
So that is Kudzu - looks a heck of a lot like Japanese Knotweed which grows everywhere and can't be beaten.
Nice pictures.
Meri has just told me they are quite different.
Such beautiful views.
Beautiful view!
Love the haze and the greenery, isn't it a lovely place you're staying at. Thank you for sharing Georgia! =)
Bear is um... reconstructing his blog. He had some problems. I think he needs time for that. Meanwhile, he's enjoying posting at Picture This.
Gorgeous pictures, and even more gorgeous mountains! I have never seen Kudzu before. Interesting.
kudzu is awaful, we have a place in carroll co. where it grows and it looks like a green ghost area..
A very nice view and I liked your composition in the second one - but what is Kudzu????
Lovely view!!
Gorgeous views, Dot! So green.
~Kelli
I remember all the kudzu in Alabama. Hope we don't get it out in the Northwest. Great shot, I enjoyed visiting you site.
Hi Dot....
Great pictures as always.. :O)
I've been resting on a canal barge this past week and really enjoyed it... I hope you are well my friend..
Here's Mine

Oh, what a wide landscape. What is the line between the trees, a road?
Looks a green place to live. I wonder what the rest of the state looks like?
I was back in GA a couple of weeks ago and saw a lot of kudzu. We used to call it "foot a day" because that's how fast it grew.
What a beautiful vista! We don't have kudzu here, but do I recall correctly that it is very fast growing and invasive?
Gosh the line is so so straight is it a pathway?
In your last photo, are those power lines or a wires for a tram. It definitely looks scenic enough for a tram to exist.
Those are beautiful shots. We have more than our share of kudzu in NC too.
I wonder where all that kudzu is heading to from there!
Nice skywatch shots.
My island is like a miniure version of these shots, which just look so clean and crisp.
I missed this on Friday but better late than never, eh? :-) Nice shots. They look like shots taken in Hawaii.
That is an amazing vista; I had no idea Georgia looked like this. It looks a little like a jungle; it is so lush. Thank you for sharing.
Kudzu. I found that funny since I am from Georgia and see it EVERYWHERE! It looks like the mountain has a split in it. I was drawn to that not the kudzu.
I really love both these photos. Nicely taken.
