Cave Springs, Georgia

This was taken at Cave Springs, Georgia, a tiny little town southwest of Rome. There really is a spring and a cave. People go to the spring and fill jugs with the water which has won awards for it's purity and taste and is also commercially bottled. The cave was closed the day we visited.
Check out Watery Wednesday for more water pictures.

You mean to tell me Dubya and his buddies actually left a place where you can drink the water?

Wonders never cease. I should visit there...

Lovely shot. I love the color and reflections in the water. Can't help but wonder about the taste of that water with the geese swimming around in it. :-D

Great reflection on the water. Well-done!

I wonder how they keep the water pure with ducks swimming in it. I guess the pure water must be coming up from underground.

Lovely reflection!

There are not many places anymore where you can fill jugs with the water.

Beautiful. I have been through Cave Springs but have never stopped for a visit. I would love to go. I have heard they have a wonderful school for the deaf there too.

Beautiful! The reflection on the water is great. Like a stream of light and the ducks look so nice in that lovely water.
I guess someone were about to throw them some bread as they so eagerly all swim in the same direction.

Looks like a wonderful place -- I could go for some of that spring water. We have places back home in Idaho for that too.

Hi Dot,
Here from Dewdrop's site and because of Skywatch Fri. These reflections are gorgeous! So crisp as if I was right there.

Dot, I have actually been to Cave Springs too but not to where you took your photo. My Daddy was at a convention so I took a bus tour to Cave Springs. I bought a Rhett Butler t-shirt that said, "Frankly, my dear...." Who knew then I'd name my son Rhett? LOL
