Is it your job to climb up this tower? Bet it offers a great view.
Whoa, that's quite a climb up! But that's an important piece of equipment in the forest. Very nice photo, such beautiful skies as the backdrop to this tower, Dot.Rocky Mountain Retreat
I love the objects you capture in your sky watch photos!

Great sky shots. This is a high fire tower.
I've been up in a Fire Tower you can see pretty far. Great sky watch.

Great photo Dot.I once climbed half way up one of these and then froze..!I had to be rescued, how embarrassing..!
Oh my gosh i don't think i would like to climb that one bit, that is way too high for me. Great shot
This is grand! What a great shot up and the sky is lovely. My brother used to be on a fire tower in the 60's but I don't think his tower had that many steps!
Dot: That is impressive tower. It surely reaches high into the Sky.
Love these Dot!I haven't seen a fire tower in years!
The view up there must be real great. But climbing up there would probably cause my legs to turn jello :PLove the shots :)Have a good weekend!!
Love the second shot. Could you give me the details on the Wheels theme if/ when you have time? If occasional (rather than regular) contributions are accepted, I could help out ....
Love your fire tower. There's one in Tennessee I told my husband that the only way he get me up there was to take my ashes...don't have a head for heights!
I think I'd be too scared to climb that tower! Great photo though.
I love what you have here, Dot! As one who can't handle heights, I especially appreciate those who can climb those towers!
oh wow ... that is high!beautiful shots!
Just wondering what part of Alabama the fire tower is located. Nice shot.
Great shot. A friend and I spent part of a summer at a fire tower in Oregon. We were up in the mountains and could see all the way to the ocean. that was 6-7 years ago and I would do it again if I had the chance. MB

Dot, you are keeping me in a constant state of Nostalgia. I remember doing a surveillance on a drug dealer's house from one of those in East Texas. Scary climb to the top in a pair of leather soled shoes. :)
Lovely shots Dot! I would HATE to walk up all of those steps! I have been visiting your Picture This blog. Great photos there!!
I bet the people who have to climb that fire tower are in great shape. I imagine it is beautiful looking from the very top. Great shot of the steps going up. You should have climbed to the top and took a picture of the steps going down. ;)
My husband and I climbed a fire tower on our first date. Ha! I was afraid to climb back down! It's a wonder we ever had a second date. LOL

I would love to climb that! I love heights. When I was a child , I lived in trees. When I told my huband last week I climbed a tree to take a picture, he nearly had a heart attack. I have to admit, it wasn't as easy as it use to be 5 decades ago.lol...Great photos.

Climbing all those steps would be a good workout. :-)
