Is it your job to climb up this tower? Bet it offers a great view.

Whoa, that's quite a climb up! But that's an important piece of equipment in the forest. Very nice photo, such beautiful skies as the backdrop to this tower, Dot.

This is grand! What a great shot up and the sky is lovely. My brother used to be on a fire tower in the 60's but I don't think his tower had that many steps!

Love the second shot.

Could you give me the details on the Wheels theme if/ when you have time?

If occasional (rather than regular) contributions are accepted, I could help out ....

Love your fire tower. There's one in Tennessee I told my husband that the only way he get me up there was to take my ashes...don't have a head for heights!

Dottie said...

I think I'd be too scared to climb that tower! Great photo though.

I love what you have here, Dot! As one who can't handle heights, I especially appreciate those who can climb those towers!

Great shot. A friend and I spent part of a summer at a fire tower in Oregon. We were up in the mountains and could see all the way to the ocean. that was 6-7 years ago and I would do it again if I had the chance. MB

Well, on second thought, no need for that ... you always bring us great photos!

Dot, you are keeping me in a constant state of Nostalgia. I remember doing a surveillance on a drug dealer's house from one of those in East Texas. Scary climb to the top in a pair of leather soled shoes. :)

I would love to climb that! I love heights. When I was a child , I lived in trees. When I told my huband last week I climbed a tree to take a picture, he nearly had a heart attack. I have to admit, it wasn't as easy as it use to be 5 decades ago.lol...
Great photos.
