Whoa, that's quite a climb up! But that's an important piece of equipment in the forest. Very nice photo, such beautiful skies as the backdrop to this tower, Dot. Rocky Mountain Retreat
This is grand! What a great shot up and the sky is lovely. My brother used to be on a fire tower in the 60's but I don't think his tower had that many steps!
Love your fire tower. There's one in Tennessee I told my husband that the only way he get me up there was to take my ashes...don't have a head for heights!
Great shot. A friend and I spent part of a summer at a fire tower in Oregon. We were up in the mountains and could see all the way to the ocean. that was 6-7 years ago and I would do it again if I had the chance. MB
Now that is a huge watch tower; I bet if you go up there you could bring us some fantasctic landscapes views. Well, on second thought, no need for that ... you always bring us great photos!
Dot, you are keeping me in a constant state of Nostalgia. I remember doing a surveillance on a drug dealer's house from one of those in East Texas. Scary climb to the top in a pair of leather soled shoes. :)
I bet the people who have to climb that fire tower are in great shape. I imagine it is beautiful looking from the very top. Great shot of the steps going up. You should have climbed to the top and took a picture of the steps going down. ;)
I would love to climb that! I love heights. When I was a child , I lived in trees. When I told my huband last week I climbed a tree to take a picture, he nearly had a heart attack. I have to admit, it wasn't as easy as it use to be 5 decades ago.lol... Great photos.
WoW! I'm so happy that I don't have to climb up the. Imagining to be up there in a storm:( Sorry I haven't got the time to visit you earlier. Have a nice weekend! Petunia's Sky Watch
