I bet you're right, Dot, as it seems to say Purina Feed on the roof. I LOVE old barns!
Do you think it is just a regular old barn with an advertisement on it? You know like years ago all the barns said, "SEE ROCK CITY" Love the barn.
Beause of where it was located in the town I thought it was probably a feed store.
That picture is very appealing to me. Thanks for sharing!
I sure like it, whatever it is for.
Cool. I have always seen feed stores that have elevated loading docks, this is new to me and fun to see regional differences. Here I though "Purina" was puppy chow. :)
How old would these barns be about Dot.. you really are responsable for my new found interest in such buildings.. in fact when I'm blogging now and see a water tower I think of you right away. Thank you for opening my eyes to these beauties.
That's nifty. I love when old ads appear like ghosts on walls or roofs. Always fun finds. This place looks kind of lonely now.
Looks like a really old barn. I like your photo yesterday too.
I believe you are right on the money Dot.
Those were big days back then when companies like Purina and Mail Pouch painted logos on barns and I guess this is a survivor. Nice to see it hanging in there and on the roof no less.
You sure do find a lot of neat old barns. I like them all.
I love the writing on the roof. That's a skill that you don't see much any more.... painted signs on roofs or walls..... apart from graffiti of course!
These old barns have their own history.Have a nice evening.
You have the best collection of old Barn pictures - They are great as always
I like the picture and the old barns. Funny, that I'm feeding our Panda (the cat) with Purina food ;)
Wish you could find some benches like you do barns! lol
The black & white gives a real feel for the old barn! Thanks, dot! :D
Wonderful old barn and with a ghost sign on the roof - love it!
