Queen Ann's Lace

Our roadsides are usually dotted with Queen Ann's Lace but this is the first one I've seen so far this year. Look at all the bugs on it!

Is this a sign we are going to have trouble with BUGS this summer? I have seen these flowery plants but had no idea they were called "Queen Ann's Lace" You know so much about flowers and plants.

What a pretty flower - I don't think I've ever seen one.

We have Queen Anne's lace here but much later in the season. How interesting that it grows in Georgia too. It's beautiful and would make a lovely garden plant if only it weren't such a garden thug!

With all those bugs, you could have used that shot for your "Picture This" blog. lol

I've got a lot of Queen Anne's Lace in my neighborhood, but they seem to be doing ok for right now. Bugs come and go though, they can mess up a bush or flower real fast.
I thought that my new neighbor had cut down all of the honeysuckle but I discovered some growing wild on the backside of my house. Now whenever I open the window in the back bedroom, it smells sooo good!

Don't know if it's a sign that BUGS are going to attack, but you have a great shot here!

Dot,

I love the Queen Anne's Lace and it's one thing I look forward to in going to Alabama every July! ( that and the barns I love to photograph)

Once in the fall, on a visit, I cut some dried ones to use in arrangements . I later threw them out and had some Queen Anne's Lace come up and bloom the next year! Wow! I was just thrilled with that!

I love your picture!!

Dot: My there were a lot of bugs on the flower. Sometimes even a weed can make a great photo.

It's good to see the Queen Anne's Lace. It's one of my favorite flowers, but it usually doesn't bloom here until much later in the year!

oh Queen Anne's lace is one of my favourites, we also get it along the side of our roads, so you'd think it would be easy to grow, but I have never had any luck with it in my garden!
