I'm always looking for spider webs to photograph. Each one is unique and different. I hate not seeing one and walking into it. I'm always left wondering where the spider went. This one reminds me of a big electric fan.
That's a lovely spider web pic! I know what you mean about walking into one. I walked into a HUGE one in Florida, it was so strong and scared me so much I fell backwrds! And the spider was left clinging to the remains of the web and glaring at me.... ewwww... nasty!
Happy Birthday. I'm jealous, not of your birthday, mines in two weeks, but of your spiderweb. Great capture. I've never sucessfully photographed a spiderweb, but I keep trying.
Is certain the webs they have a great charm. As more i they like, is after raining, when each one of the threads seems a string of brilliant... This of course is like a gigantic fan.
Excellent picture from you again Dot.. A little birdy tells me today is special.. Happy Birthday to a true blogging buddy... may all your wishes be granted..
I have sometimes wondered if spiders can get angry. You know... they spend all this time carefully spinning their artistic wonder, and along comes a fly and ruins sections J-13 through L-24. Now Spidey may or may not be hungry, but that fly will be eaten just for damaging the web! I'm just sayin'.
Birthday? Well, a bundle of blessings to you, Dearie!!!
You asked if I wished I could get into a picture--that is what I mean when I leave a comment saying I wish I could just step into the picture...so many of them call to me to come for a walk.
hehe you are right on both scores, it DOES look like a fan, and yes, there are few things creepier than walking into one of these and wondering where the spider is.
Great shot Dot. For some reason spiders seem to be very scarce where we live, which I find very disappointing, because I find them fascinating creatures.

Beautiful spider web. I haven't seen any to photograph yet this year..or maybe I should put my glasses on. ;-)

Spider webs have always amazed me. I think it is so unique how a little spider can spin such a web. You captured a perfect web.
It's fantastic!
Dot: Very nicely captured, they do make great designs to catch their food.
OMG.. How did you take that picture? It's amazing!

Good catch! I haven't seen any spider webs for awhile -- usually later in August.
That's a brilliant shot! So rare to find such a complete and circular web.
Great shot Dot. For some reason spiders seem to be very scarce where we live, which I find very disappointing, because I find them fascinating creatures.
Nice web shot. Well done.
It's a nice orb-weaver.
Either a Yellow Spiny-backed Orbweaver or,
a Yellow Arrowshaped Micranthena.
Do have a closeup of the small spider in the middle of the web?
Come visit,
Troy and Martha
